Autumn Colours

So, the weather is horrible, wet and wintery, and I have spent the day playing with some new Ultra thick embossing crystals that came in the post today- WOW!! I am totally addicted!
Anyway this is what I was working on last night.... an Easel card with a hidden message inside the 'petal' card on the front..
I was inspired to work with these colours to celebrate the beauty of Autumn with the Crafty Alley Shop, and also the 'secret' challenge with Paperplay this week and with A Pocket Full of Posies
Thanx for visiting, and please add yourself as a follower to my Blog, you would be VERY welcome xx

A boxed set of 5 Thank you Cards

This is a Ferrero Rocher box that I have covered with Kate Knight Amethyst- Floral range, inside and out, I have used a felt butterfly from Henbury Lane and a little magnetic strip to hold closed.
The box is the perfect size for 135mm square cards..... and I have made 5 using the same range of papers throughout, with a little core'dinations card stock.
The sentiments were printed onto white card, and I have also used my Sakura gelly roll pen to highlight details on the papers. the flowers have been made using an assortment of Dahlia nesties, Prima and henbury flowers and a little perfect pearls spritzed here and there, the gems and other details are also from the Henbury Lane goody bag.
I really enjoyed making this for a gift for a special friend of mine and I shall give it to her tomorrow.

Now all I have to do is eat some more Ferrero Rocher, so that I can use another box!!
Thanx for visiting :)
I have entered this in the Pocket Full of Posies challenge this week.

A Favourite Page of mine to share with you

Good morning everybody :)
It's lovely and sunny again here today, we love sunshine!!
Today I wanted to share a page from a memory album I have made to remember my Grandmother, who died this year. She was an amazing lady and a great influence to me and I really look forward to meeting her again in the resurrection.
I love this page with it's layers and pocket with a copy of her family tree and the text from a tribute I made at her funeral; printed on the reverse side of the V&A papers that I have used throughout this album, then folded and stored in the pocket.
The wooden 'E' is the last letter of her pet name 'Millie'. I have entered this post into this weeks Simon Say's Stamp & Show 'Layers' challenge.
Thank you for visiting :)

Simon Says Stamp & Show 'Wendy Vecchi' challenge

Do you love chocolate as much as I do??

I created this wall hanging using some quotes sourced from the internet and papers from Papermania sunshine capsule collection. The boards are made with mountboard, some cie cut using Sissix clipboard; frames; the top is made free hand and embellished with Tim Holtz ' hanging sign', painted with acrylics and gold embossed. The 'chocolate is cut with Sissix 'spazzghetti' lettering from brown card and glossy accents. The flowers are handmade and the lace and fringe are from stash. All joined together with eylets and ribbons.

I have entered this into a great challenge on the new Simon Says stamp & show challenge blog.

Hope you like it !!

My Crafty Alley inspired card

Hello again, guess what I've been doing this afternoon. As I was browsing around checking blogs, I came across this layout on the Crafty Alley Design team blog and was inspired... and here is the result!!
I used Papermania Regency papers, a paper doily and I made the flower from Tim holtz 'Tattered Flowers' die and perfect pearls spritz. The buttons are vintage mother of pearl from stock, stuck face down to show off the lovely colouring on the back.

My latest creation

Hello there everybody, I hope you like this card I made this week.

I have used K & Co Bailey papers and spritzed the frame with perfect pearls for some sparkle. The flowers were made using my nested flowers from Hello Kitty, sizzlit and finished off with Prima pearls and stickles.
I have entered it into these challenges:
Pocket Full of Posies 'All that glitters'
Simon Says Stamps 'Things with wings'
Paperplay 'Bon Voyage'

Thanx for visiting!!

Country Diary cards

Here is a selection of cards made using the free pack of 'Country Diary' Kit, from the Cardmaking & Papercraft mag July edition.
I thought it was cheeky of them to charge an extra £1 for this issue, but when I saw how much was in this free kit, I felt satisfied....
Anyway it has been a good way to get my mojo going again and I found myself racing along with ideas...
I hope you like them...
I have also added some stock items and a little handmade paper....

Has now been reworked in my craft room into this!!, which will hang nicely in my newly decorated hallway....

My 1st Tutorial!!

This is an Acceptance card that I have made, using a 135mm square card, trimmed to make a pocket and a tag to slip inside..

1st take your square card and trim off 3 cm from the open end, glue sides to make a pocket. (I put an offcut alond to mask it so as not to glue too much).
Then decorate the front with embossed card (I used Swiss dots and then a 'Love' stamp from Cuttlebug).

Cut a tag from white card 11cm wide by 12cm long, trim off the corners and punch a hole on the centre (I found I needed to reinforce the hole on the back).

Then cut 3 more pieces of white card, each 11 cm wide and then 1x 3,5cm long; 1x 4.5 cm; and 1x 5.5 cm- these are then trimmed with a lace doily punch from Martha Stewart as shown.

Layer the 3 pieces :- Glue middle one flat onto longest one, then attach short one with 3d pads, keeping the top of all 3 level to give a layered effect. Then attach to card after gluing a decorative panel of your choice.

1st Tutorial part 2

I printed off a whole page of sentiments onto white card ( its more economical that wat, and I have a choice too). Select one that you like and matt it onto the same paper used on the front.

I also printed my personal message at the same time and matted that in the same way. I inked the edges with pink ink too bring it out.

Attach 'lacey' piece as shown and then the sentiment over, using 3d pads at the top to keep level.

Glue the matted message on the back.

Attach 16 cm of organza ribbon to top.
Then it's finished!!
Oh and I forgot to mention, I used Kate Knight paper stack that came free with this months Cardmaking and Papercraft mag. And I used less than 1 sheet!!
I hope you like it..:)

More Secret Garden...

And here is the other one.... same papers as below, the flowers I made using silk flower fabric and my Dahlia die, and buttons from stock. The pot and stalk/leaves I cut from the Secret garden papers too..

My Day in the Papermania Secret Garden

As it has been raining today, I thought I'd bring some of the spring into the house with some crafting...
I hope that you can see the embossed Bird and grass on the clear acetate (which is actually packaging from some a recent delivery:))
I have simply mounted it straight onto white cardstock, edged it with Papermania Secret Garden and added a dragonfly that I made earlier. When it stands up the acetate comes forward, creating a shadow on the backing card... I was so pleased with the result.. I made another one..

New toys to play with.....

Today I have been a machine.....
I have made 7 cards and experimented with some of my new equipment.

This card features one of my new Papermania punches and papers from DCWV pocket full of Posies.

As above, I also used a Sizzix original die to make the heart card.
The sentiment inside the 'card' is gold peel off hearts and ' I love you', tied closed with a ribbon....

And... this one is as above with Sizzix sizzlit 'Dahlia'. the pot is from Papermania spring capsule collection... I think this one is my favourite of the 3....
