My Day in the Papermania Secret Garden
As it has been raining today, I thought I'd bring some of the spring into the house with some crafting...
I hope that you can see the embossed Bird and grass on the clear acetate (which is actually packaging from some a recent delivery:))
I have simply mounted it straight onto white cardstock, edged it with Papermania Secret Garden and added a dragonfly that I made earlier. When it stands up the acetate comes forward, creating a shadow on the backing card... I was so pleased with the result.. I made another one..

New toys to play with.....
Today I have been a machine.....
I have made 7 cards and experimented with some of my new equipment.
This card features one of my new Papermania punches and papers from DCWV pocket full of Posies.
As above, I also used a Sizzix original die to make the heart card.
The sentiment inside the 'card' is gold peel off hearts and ' I love you', tied closed with a ribbon....
And... this one is as above with Sizzix sizzlit 'Dahlia'. the pot is from Papermania spring capsule collection... I think this one is my favourite of the 3....

Hi, here are some of my latest creations...
This set of three cards were made using Papermania Signature papers and stamps. Also Core'dinations Vintage collection 'Flower Power'. The die cut corners are from the Cuttlebug vintage corners set. I like to use every little bit, even the push out scraps!! The lace, ribbon and buttons are from stock. The white flower is from Prima. I also used my new Nesties; Labels 8,10, Classic Ovals large, and scalloped.
In this one I used my nesties and Papermania Chatsworth stamp- embossed with silver, the red paper is from some Indian handmade papers I have and the flower is made using Indian paper circles, cut out with cuttlebug and finished with a Prima pearl. I wanted to create a fresh design after working on the other 3....
Tuesday, 16 March 2010
I used a digital stamp, found on the internet, which I watercoloured. The pink and green ones are matted onto Indian craft papers. I have used Prima E Line flowers and Sunshine Capsule flowers, a Papermania Pearl, Anita's gems, and cuttlebug embossed card and die cut circles from matching Indian papers. Buttons are from ?? I can't remember. The blue spotty paper is recycled from an envelope :), Ribbons are from stock, usually cut out of clothing!! ( you know, those ones inside the shoulders to keep them on the hangers, I always keep them).
Anyway I hope you like them, I have enjoyed making them..
Our Frame
I created the content of this frame using Papermania Blueberry Hill papers with White swiss dots embossed card and an assortment of embellishments from stock. The sentiment is a verse from Galatians Chapter 5 verse 22, which I printed onto Gouache paper using the computer.
I will try to work on all these qualities each day.

My 'Crafty Cat'
I'd like to introduce you all to 'Dudley', my 18month old Tonkinese.
His hobbies are..
1) 'Helping' me with my crafting (or so he thinks)
2) Eating
3) Sleeping
4) 'Helping' me, checking up on me, following me..
This is his 2nd favourite spot, watching me from above, his most favourite place is in front of me, sitting on whatever I am doing, and stealing anything that makes a noise, wiggles, can be chewed, or anything that is obviously important to me :(
Having said that he is extremely affectionate and I wouldn't swap him for anything....
Above is a Frame that we made together.....

Treasured Aunties
These two photos are from my mum's collection of family memorabilia. This is her mother and and two Aunts when they were children and then again as grown women. I just love the feeling of enduring family history and I hope to have reflected that by using handmade antique lace, Brown wrapping paper, recycled wooden buttons and a little of the Papermania Antique Cream stack and Colossal Border pack..
My First Competition Entry
Wahey!! I entered the Docrafts Facebook 1 Challenge with this card.... and I WON.......
I used a selection from the Papermania, Tina Higgins Sunshine Capsule Collection, with a Daisy and Dandelion stamp and watercolours.
I won a Daisy and Dandelion gift set, which is lovely.....
I was soo surprised, I have never won anything before, it has inspired me to carry on...
